After working at MeadWestvaco in Sidney, NY and Carrier Corporation, division of United Technologies in Syracuse, NY, Fred Riordan formed The Riordan Management Group in 1999. He now serves as RMG’s Project Advisor. Along with a Mechanical Engineering degree from Buffalo State College and post-graduate work at Syracuse University, Fred has over 37 years of capital project and construction management. His technical expertise includes strategic planning, operations planning, team development engineering administration, project pre-planning, pre-construction/construction budgeting, value engineering, and end user (goal confirmation).
Cindy Transue was Fred’s colleague at MeadWestvaco and joined him at The Riordan Management Group shortly after it was formed. Cindy’s thirty (30) plus years of financial and office administration background helped shape the business processes RMG still uses today. Currently serving as RMG’s President, Cindy’s specialties include customized cost control and cost tracking, cost reservation systems, financial planning, customer service, project management/monitoring/scheduling, office and personnel management, and safety and emergency preparedness.
RMG’s Project Manager Frank Walczak brings over 25 years of construction and design experience to the RMG team. He was previously a Senior Electrical Designer and Project Representative at Rossi-Pete Associates, as well as the owner of Custom Designs Distributors. Frank has an Associate’s degree in applied science, and specializes in electrical, lighting, special systems, building controls, security systems, and other M/E/P construction oversight and inspection, specifications and drawing development, computer aided drafting and design (CADD), construction estimating, and electrical systems design, review, and troubleshooting.
Thomas Bowman helps balance out Fred’s mechanical background and Frank’s electrical background with his architectural experience. Tom previously worked as Project Designer/Manager at Bearsch Compeau Knudson and Chianis Anderson Architects, both in Binghamton, NY. Tom holds an Associate’s degree in, architectural technology and has over 20 years of construction and design experience. He currently serves as RMG’s Construction Manager. His technical expertise includes schematic design development, construction document and specification development, AutoCad design and drafting (CADD), project scheduling, construction estimating, and construction coordination and resolution.
As the previous owner of her own business, as well as a marketing consultant, Tammarra Kutz brings over 20 plus years of administrative experience to her role as Project Administrator. She previously worked for Arctic Bear (HVAC) as the Office Manager in Endwell, NY as well. Tammarra specializes in pre-planning, pre-referendum presentation tools, detail scheduling, financial tracking, cost reservation system, construction coordination, graphic construction sequencing, meeting coordination and documentation, B.O.E. reports, database design/management, and marketing.
Casey Capozzi holds a Bachelor’s degree in English and previously worked at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Portland, OR and New York State Insurance Fund in Endicott, NY before joining RMG. In her role as Project Administrator, Casey brings 20 years of experience specializing in pre-planning, pre-referendum presentation tools, Division 0/Division 1 specification development, schedule and sequence development, master construction schedules, cost reservation system, financial tracking, B.O.E. reports, construction coordination, and market research.
Mitch Cromer is the newest addition to the RMG team. Mitch holds an Associate’s degree and Bachelor of Science in civil engineering technology. Prior to joining RMG, Mitch worked at CME Associates, Inc. in Horseheads, NY and New York State Department of Transportation in Utica, NY. As our Construction Specialist, Mitch’s technical experience includes construction oversight, various forms of construction inspection and testing, construction management, project scheduling and sequencing, land surveying, and drawing preparation, construction coordination and resolutions.
Jeff Nelson brings with him 30 years of construction and building project managment experience to RMG. Jeff has a background in all aspects of building construction, including extensive experience in the electrical, HVAC, and plumbing fields. Jeff specializes in project scheduling, as well as construction estimating. Prior to joining RMG, Jeff served as construction foreman for FAHS Construction Group in Binghamton, NY.
